Cimarex Energy Co. operates as an independent oil and gas exploration and production company primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Kansas. It will also provide a boost for companies such as Cheniere Energy (NYSE: LNG), whose Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas terminal is already being converted to accommodate bi-directional flows. Its Gulf Coast location also provides relatively easy access to European markets.
